The inspiration for my lastest creation came to me whilst looking through photos of my last visit to Disneyland, I came across one that shows the castle as you enter the park, it is truly breathtaking!  So taking into account the fact the real one is so enormous and if built in 1:12 scale it would fill the average home I have reduced the enormity of it whilst still trying to capture the character and charm of this wonderful building!

Although the main colour of the house is cream and gold when the colour changing external floodlights are turned on the house really comes to life and is magical!!

The gold I have used is 18ct liquid gold leaf and has a real depth and luster, this will not tarnish or fade.

The total height is 48", width 28", depth 24".

The courtyard is 20" x 20", First floor room 12" x 16", Second floor room 14" x 14", plus another room adjoining the first tower 7" x 12" and on the third floor a room 17" x 12" plus a small room leading to the stair tower and the second round tower.

All the lighting (except floodlights) have been made by myself in keeping with the fairytale theme.

The clock actually works and I have left is so you can easily change the battery.

The staircase in the tower on the right of the house are all winding with a stone effect to fit in with

the theme of a castle.

There are several Gargoyles and instead of boring newel posts they are topped with irridescent ruby

crystal balls resting in golden holders!

All of the external doors have studs or at least some type of decor added to them to give them the fantasy edge.

All the main rooms have real wooden floorboards, one room has carpet as seen in the photographs.

Three of the rooms have wallpaper, two with complementing Brodnax papers and the third with a William Morris paper.  All the other rooms have been painted cream.

There are far too many details to name them all so I am rather hoping the picutres speak for themselves, if not please contact me where I will be happy to try and help answer any of your questions.
